Static version of the Doc Center

by Doc Team
All of the HTML documentation for 4D v11 SQL is now freely downloadable in a static offline version. You'll gain the benefit of instantly displaying the documentation, eliminating the need to be online to look up commands in 4D and other v11 products. On the other hand, you will not be able to take advantage of the live Doc Center's dynamic and personalised features.

To download the static version of the documentation, please visit the Doc Center home page and choose your download from the "Static Versions" area:

Doc Center

Please note that you must be logged in (using the login link at the top of the page) to be able to access the download area.

You may choose between an all-English version, local language + English, or "All languages". Each download contains the English documentation as it is the most complete.

Once you've downloaded the archive to your local hard drive, you must decompress it using 7-Zip software. If you do not have this utility, you can download it for free from

You can use the static version as the source of contextual help of 4D commands. To do so, designate the folder containing the documentation files under the "Local folder" in your Documentation preference panel.

The static versions are regularly updated in order to give you access to the latest information. As the pages aren't served dynamically, however, the following features are not available:
  • Search area
  • User display preferences (number of columns, contrast, etc.)
  • Certain dynamic lists, such as the listing of commands modifying the "OK" variable
  • Keywords and comments (currently being implemented)
Please note that from the static version, you can switch to the dynamic version of the Doc Center by clicking on the "On-line version" button at the bottom of each page.
