4D Runtime Single User is a very economic way to deploy a 4D application with the higher requirements of performance and security. Not only it can run a compiled database, but it is also very flexible as he can accept the larger variety of expansion products available for 4D 2004. This feature is the main diferenciator with the two other offers of 4D Runtime.

If your needs for deployment exceed the number of 10 users and you on't need a Connectivity or Web-oriented expansion, then we recommend you to purchase one of the 2 offers of 4D Runtime Volume License, which unitary deployment cost will result even lower.

Migrating to 4D v11 SQL

Upgrade your application to 4D SQL Desktop v11 SQL and benefit from the new features of the latest version, with the same ease of use: new SQL Engine, Maintenance and Security Center, new commands of language, etc.  You will get also the ability to connect in SQL Pass-through to any external SQL-based data source. Migration is a single-click process that you might execute after consulting our migration ressources.

NOTE : If you use a Web Server or Web Services expansion with 4D Runtime Single User, 4D Web Application Server will be the convenient product for your migration. Please contact your 4D correspondant for more details about the upgrade process.
