4D AJAX FRAMEWORK
4D Ajax Framework lets you build the powerful web applications your customers want by leveraging your expertise in 4D, not by learning a new language.
Only a few modifications to your 4D application are needed to deliver web apps accessible from browsers, smartphones, and platform-independent runtimes. Even those that run offline! No tweaking HTML. No messing with CSS. No guessing at JavaScript.
Of course, if you are skilled in web programming, then you can take advantage of advanced techniques to bring your 4D-based web apps to a whole new level of customization.
What's new in 4D Web 2.0 Pack Release 5?
Not only are the calendars in your 4D app now
professional and beautiful, but so are the Web
versions generated on-the-fly with your data.
A new Calendar tool tied directly to 4D lets you publish calendar events directly to the Web, iPhone, smart phones that support the iCalendar format and to PDAs as well as software applications like Microsoft Outlook 2007, iCal and Google Calendars.
Calendar source code is also included in Web 2.0 Pack Release 5, so you can get started driving live event data straight to your Internet, mobile and external apps.
But don't just take our word for it. Watch a video presenting 4D Web 2.0 Pack's powerful calendar features.
One of the most often used features of 4D Ajax Framework – both for their usefulness and ease of implementation – are dashboard charts.
Dashboards have been radically improved in Release 5, where modern charts with enhanced visulization and mouseover abilities can be created with minimal coding. Chart styles can be changed with just a single parameter, giving all of your data myriad different ways to be represented visually, on the fly.

Is it really so easy?
To demonstrate how simple 4D Ajax Framework is, we've taken the latest features and created screencasts where we implement them in real-time, with no editing.
What's included?
- A multitude of ready-made Ajax data objects that function exactly like they do in desktop applications: Data Matrix, Data Grid, Hierarchical List, Calendar and more... Mixable with existing frameworks like jQuery and MooTools
- Support for offline mode, compatible with HTML 5 and Google Gears
- Easy administration interface, allowing you to manage Web application users' access and rights just as you do in 4D
- Advanced event handling with instant data validation
What's required?
4D Ajax Framework benefits from the no-hassle deployment scheme of 4D Web 2.0 Pack: you can install it freely as a component of any 4D project, whatever the deployment offer is. However, your 4D application needs a valid Web Application Expansion in order to serve your Rich Internet Application onto the user's browser.
