The very annoyances you hoped you would escape in leaving the corporate world may follow you into the launch of your business. For example, if you hated the idea of 'kissing up' to the boss, the idea that the "client is always right" may feel uncomfortably familiar. If you thought you should have gotten promoted just on the merits of your technical competence, the thought of marketing yourself to your clients and convincing them that you are a better match for their project than other consultants may make you gag.
