WebForms

Still in the 4D Design environment, you should go to the Edit menu and choose " Properties..." then select the Web section of the properties dialog.

This is the first of several Web Server Settings pages. You should make your server settings match the ones in this picture. Notably, you will want to "Publish Database at Startup." The TCP Port that is chosen for you (80) is the standard port for HTTP. If your computer is already running a web server (WebSTAR, IIS, Apache) then it probably is using port 80 already. You should either shut down that web server, or change 4D's Web Services TCP port. If you change the port, you will have to use the port number in all URLs that are used in this tutorial, since this tutorial assumes port 80.

The next thing to do is to create the WebFolder. This is where the HTML files used by the tutorial should be stored. The WebFolder should be called "WebFolder" and located in the same directory as your 4D structure files, as pictured below. The easiest way to create the folder is to simply Quit and relaunch your "WebForms4D" database. Since the database is now published at startup and 4D can't find the WebFolder it will create one for you.
